Introduction: Stefanie Böttcher, artistic director

PHOTOGRAPHY = light script. An optical-chemical reproduction process based on the light sensitivity of silver salts or on the transformation of electronic data.

MATTERS RESULTING FROM IT Sidestreets of photography, which result from an altered relationship to classical photography, a specific handling of the individual components. The most varied treatments of the medium are conceivable. Photographic un-boundedness and artistic risk unfold.

SIMPLE and yet puzzling. When photographing, something extraterrestrial flies through an apparatus with chemicals and lands, quite flat, on a plane; it has then to be rendered visible and made out with the help of schnapps or the supports of the a-priori. (Thomas Kapielski)
